Introduction
Epigenesis Technologies LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates a fitness and wellness platform that helps users track and understand their health data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our services.
The Epigenesis platform provides wellness analytics and informational insights only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Data We Access
When you connect a wearable device or fitness account (such as Fitbit, Apple Health, Garmin, or Oura) to the Epigenesis platform, we may access the following types of data with your permission:
- Activity data (steps, workouts, calories burned)
- Heart rate measurements
- Sleep data and patterns
- Basic profile information from your connected account
We only access data that you explicitly authorize during the connection process. Access to your wearable data is authorized through secure OAuth connections provided by the wearable platform. Epigenesis does not access your account credentials.
How We Use Your Data
Your fitness and wellness data is used solely to provide you with:
- Analytics and visualizations of your health metrics
- Personalized wellness insights and trends
- Progress tracking over time
We do not sell or rent your data to third parties. Your health information is used exclusively to power features within the Epigenesis platform.
Data Storage and Security
Your data may be securely stored on our servers to enable analytics and historical tracking. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest. We may process data through trusted infrastructure providers (such as cloud hosting services) solely to operate and secure the Epigenesis platform.
We retain data only as long as necessary to provide our services or until a user requests deletion of their data.
Your Control
You are in control of your data. At any time, you may:
- Disconnect your wearable device or fitness account from the Epigenesis platform
- Request deletion of any data stored by Epigenesis
- Revoke access permissions through the settings of your connected service
When you disconnect an account, we stop receiving new data from that service. You may also request that we delete any previously stored data by contacting us.
Third-Party Services
Our platform integrates with third-party services like Fitbit, Apple Health, Garmin, and Oura through their official APIs. When you authorize a connection to a third-party service such as Fitbit, Apple Health, Garmin, or Oura, that service may share data with Epigenesis according to the permissions you grant during the authorization process.
These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the platform or by email. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
